Workshop - A trip through the "Vinhos Verdes” of the Basto Region
Discover the aromas and flavours of the most typical varieties of the Basto sub-region and a short history and description of them. The Basto varieties have a unique and diverse character! "Azal”, with citrus aromas and accentuated freshness; "Padeiro” - with its elegance and freshness - and Vinhão - with its unparalleled character - represent the ancestral and exclusive terroir of the Basto sub-region, in the midst of the Vinho Verde Region.
During this experience, you will not only be able to savour the taste of Quinta da Raza wines, but also learn more about vinho verde in general and the traditional varieties from our region, in particular.

The wine tasting includes:

  • 3 Vinho Verde wines from Quinta da Raza, produced with the grapes Azal, Padeiro and Vinhão
  • Snacks and tapas to pair with the selected wines
  • A bottle of water 

Duration: 1h30 min. After the wine tasting, you will have access to the panoramic terrace where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the vineyards, Alvão and Marão mountains.

Quinta da Raza

Visited the Quinta da Raza in the Basto sub-region of the Vinho Verde D.O.C. for a one and a half hour tour talk and tasting. We were the only guests! 3 hours later we left with a car boot full of their excellent wine, both red and white. We enjoyed a lively and intense discussion on all aspects of wine making and life in Portugal with our guide whilst tasting their wines and some local delicacies. One of our best visits this holiday. Didn't get time to visit the vineyard hence no interesting photos.
