Bodegas Comenge – an Organic Winery Established in 1999

Bodegas Comenge is an organic winery with superb surroundings and best views of Ribera del Duero. The castles of the region, Peñafiel and Curiel, are surrounded by a majestic environment and add charm to any winery visit in the region. The winery was established in 1999 when Jaime Comenge started working with his desire to make wine. He believed that the vineyards are the fundamental pillar in the winemaking process from the start as he focused on the viticultural aspect of winemaking. The vineyards of Bodegas Comenge grow 100% certified organic grapes.

Bodegas Comenge Winery has 32 hectares of vineyards located between 780 and 880 meters above sea level.

The 32 hectares of vineyards of Bodegas Comenge are mostly located on the hills of Curiel and Pesquera de Duero, between 780 and 880 meters above sea level, constituting the best location for the vineyard, due to good capacity to retain low soil moisture.

Tempranillo grapes cover almost 16 hectares of land as these wines reign supreme in the region. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Garnacha, and Albillo are among the other grape varieties grown in their vineyards.
