Cantina Turus, a Dream Come True

Located in the community of Mossa, in the northeast of Italy, Cantina Turus is a small but beautiful winery. Simone Turus is the owner of the winery. He was born into a family of butchers and trained as one but decided to take up the challenge in winemaking. Thus, the Cantina Turus was born. Cantina Turus has followed the ancient tradition of winemaking since their inception. Cantina Turus Winery succeed in a natural winemaking process through spontaneous fermentation by native yeasts. The winery pride themselves in producing craft wines with minimal outside intervention.

The Gold of Attila

Cantina Turus Winery has a selection of wines from various grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Traminer and typical Tocai Friulano grapes. The grapes grown in their seventy-year-old vineyards are exclusively used for winemaking. Their most popular wines are red and white ‘Gold of Attila’. The name may piques your curiosity as it comes from the legend of Attila the Hun and his burying a part of his gold in this area in the fifth century.

Cantina Turus, a Winery Combined with Agritourism

Simone owns 18 hectares of land where other than the winery, he also runs a farmhouse called ‘Agriturismo da Simone’ where guests are welcomed with their wines and can experience the atmosphere of this elegant estate. The estate is also accessible by ultra-light aircraft and people from all over Europe come here. It is a beautiful holiday destination with a lot of activities available and a visit to Cantina Turus is always an awesome experience.
