Flanked by the beautiful Alphs and Murrey Rivers, Chamber Rosewood is a family-based winery located in the charming town of Rutherglen. Rutherglen is a 150 year-old hamlet in North East Victoria, renowned for its winegrowing terrain. The company is known worldwide for its Muscat and Muscadelle grapes and their flagship fortified wines. Today, the winery delivers both top-notch bottled and bulk wines for both national and international markets.

The Winery was Established in 1858 by William Chambers and His Son

An example of dedication towards winemaking, Chamber Rosewood, was established in 1858 by William Chambers and his son Philip. Preserving the roots of family legacy and traditions, today, the sixth generation of the Chambers Family looks after the management of the estate. Stephen, the current owner, along with his father, Bill, handles the processes at wine cellar with the same passion as their ancestors. They use a perfect blend of traditional and modern methods of wine production, respecting, and balancing nature and biodiversity.

Century-Old Grapevines at Chamber Rosewood

Stephan collects berries for his wines from century-old grapevines, enriched with concentrated flavors and aromas. He grows a wide range of vines, Muscat and Muscadelle being the main varieties. Other grape varieties include Palomino, Roussanne, Riesling, Traminer, and Shiraz. The estate also uses unique Gouais, a parent plant of Chardonnay, along with top-quality Tempranillo, Grenache, Mondeuse, and Cinsault to produce a large array of wine styles.

In the wine cellar, Chamber Rosewood wines are beautifully placed in rows adding to the estate’s aesthetic. Red, white, and fortified wines, combined with high-end rosé and dessert wines are all produced each year. Chamber Rosewood uses large tanks and wooden barrels to age and refine their premium wines.
