DolceVera: A Taste of Valpolicella

Located in the picturesque town of Negrar in the Verona province, DolceVera Winery spans 4.8 hectares of lush vineyards. Here, Marco Benedetti, the owner, crafts four exceptional wines: Valpolicella Classico, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto. Each wine beautifully reflects the unique terroir of the Veneto region, showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of this renowned wine-producing area.

Inspiration Behind DolceVera

The story of DolceVera began in 2011 when Marco Benedetti graduated from accounting school. After spending two years working at a local winery, he realized his true passion lay in winemaking. The name 'DolceVera' pays homage to his father and a nun who inspired both him and his father during a chance encounter. This connection to family and faith is at the heart of the winery's philosophy.

Ideal Conditions for Quality Wines

The vineyards are nestled on the rolling hills of Valpolicella, an area celebrated for its red wine production. Marco cultivates a variety of grapes, including the fruity Corvina and Corvinone, along with the esteemed Rondinella and Molinara. The region's favorable microclimate, characterized by ample sunshine, ensures optimal grape maturation. The winery features a modern cellar equipped with wooden barrels, where Marco ages and refines his wines to perfection.

Small, very nice Valpolicella winery with a production of excellent wines. The young owner welcomed us very kindly and told us the story of his wines, the cellar and his desire to continue his grandfather's dream. His stories represent the history and winemaking tradition of Valpolicella very well. Highly recommended

You can feel the owner's passion and love for this business, a dream and now a growing reality. We loved the wines for their complexity, balance, and elegance.

My wife and I visited this family-run winery and were very satisfied. Marco, the young owner, explained to us in detail and with great passion all the various processes that are behind a glass of wine. The winery is expanding and in a few months it will be possible to do the tasting on a huge terrace overlooking the vineyard. We tasted 5 wines, one better than the other, accompanied by a typical Veronese cheese and an exquisite Venetian soppressata. I recommend everyone to visit this winery both for the quality of the wine and for the friendliness of the owner.

We had a wonderful time visiting DolceVera! The wines are excellent, especially the Amarone and Marco was a great host; sharing the story of his family winery and how each wine is made. The local salami, crafted by a friend of the winery, and cheese were quite tasty. We are excited to come back when the new tasting room with a view of the valley is finished. Thank you for such a lovely experience Marco!

We really enjoyed the wine tasting and the explanations. My partner (who I have never seen drinking wine because he doesn't like it) enjoyed the tasting and even took 6 bottles as a gift. I also really liked the Ripasso. Also a very nice family, we will be back

We visited this winery and we were super satisfied! We tasted 5 exceptional wines accompanied by a cutting board with excellent cured meats and typical cheeses. What can we say about Marco? An exquisite kindness, a boy who struck us with his history and his cordiality! It was wonderful to chat with him! We will return to see the completed works!
