Limonio Estate, Experience the Countryside of Sicily

The history of Limonio Estate is a century old. Today, the fourth generation of the Russo family is handling the Limonio estate. Giusy and Rita, along with their siblings Valeria and Vincenzo manage the estate with the utmost care and dedication. The Limonio estate covers an area of up to 50 hectares, in the countryside of Partinico, in the Sicilian region of Italy.

Limonio, a Former Lime Factory

The story of Limonio started with great grandfather, Francesco, who used to sell fresh citrus fruits in Sicily. Later, Vincenzo, the son of Francesco, introduced specialized techniques to harvest citrus blossom. He also brought modern methods in the company to extract oils for many cosmetic industries, confectioneries, and pharmaceuticals. In 1980, the company stopped its production due to the collapse of the USSR but later in 1990, the Russo family re-established the family business.

Taste Unique Sicilian Liqueurs

Limonio’s range of liqueurs presently includes ten offerings. Owners use the finest quality of lemons, oranges, mandarins, mulberries, prickly pears, and laurel from the Palermo region to produce their liqueurs. The production staff practices organic farming in their cultivation areas. At Limonio, they use mono varietal Cerasuola to cultivate olive groves, harvested on the land of six hectares, to produce oil. Limonio Winery distributes its olive oil and renowned Digéstif Amaro in approximately 26 countries worldwide, the USA, Japan, and Russia, are some of the largest international markets.
