Quinta do Zambujeiro has taken its rightful place in the pantheon of the Portuguese best wines. Twenty years ago, Mr. Emil Strickler had the dream to provide wine lovers a sumptuous drink and an unforgettable moment of joy and happiness in the glass.

Native Portuguese Grape Cultivation

The foundation of good winemaking begins in the vineyard. Each grape at Quinta do Zambujeiro is controlled before going into the wine. Their wines are hand-made with grapes that are handpicked. They use gentle grape and wine-handling techniques. The main grapes grown are native Portuguese varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira, Tinta Caiada, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Arinto, Antão Vaz, and Roupeiro. The best grapes go into the production of their quality red and white wines.
