Shadowfax Winery, Located 30 Kilometers from Melbourne
Shadowfax Winery is situated in the great wine country just 30 kilometers from Melbourne at Werribee Park in Victoria. Werribee Park is the estate of one of Victoria’s most prestigious historical buildings, the Werribee Park Mansion. It also features the Victoria State Rose Garden, acres of exquisite formal gardens, the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre, and the luxurious mansion hotel and spa. Contemporary in design and function, The winery has a modern architecture that reflects a harmony between the natural surroundings and the winery. Shadowfax’s rusted sheet metal exterior, and its terracotta interior, evokes the best of our Australian wine heritage. Shadowfax is a boutique winery that has the capacity to make around 10,000 bottles of premium, high-quality wines each year.

The Winery uses a Specially Built Underground Barrel Hall
Shadowfax’s wines have a strong focus on regionality with the majority of its fruit produced from its vineyards in Werribee and the Macedon Ranges. Other small growers in Geelongalso contribute fruit to their production. The head winemaker, Alister Timms, ensures only the highest quality grapes make it into each and every bottle. All of Shadowfax’s wines are made on-site using their grapes at the winery in Werribee, which are left undisturbed in the specially built underground barrel hall to quietly mature and evolve. Shadowfax’s small and innovative winemaking team ensure that quality is the prime focus in their production.
