Operated by an American expat family, Gindorf is a boutique winery located in the Lieser region, Moselle. The vines, beautifully nestled on the hills of Mosel, express the terroir, and enjoy the burst of sun throughout the year.
While on a trip to Europe’s wineries, the family got besotted by the magnificent beauty of the vineyards of Mosel. Consequently, the owners shifted from Texas to Germany and started the winery business in 2016. Today, three generations of the family work in the grape fields with full dedication and love for the wines. Everyone in the winery has distributed the work of the winery. Pam and John Pfeiffer handle the business aspect of the estate. Their son, Matt Braun, takes care of the winery and wine production while their daughter Kristi Braun operates the guesthouse.
The owners of the estate, concentrate on the top-class Mosel vine varieties, which include Riesling, Weißburgunder, and Spätburgunder. Along with that, the winery is the house of other grapes, such as Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, and Dornfelder. By using their own fruity berries, Pam and John produce a wide array of wines like red and rose wines, combined with top-notch white and sparkling wines. For maturation and refining, the owners store the wines in wooden barrels, followed by keeping bottled wines in lattice boxes.
Gindorf also has a well-furnished guesthouse for visitors to stay overnight. The rooms of the farmhouse, overlooking the scenic beauty of vineyards, are very cozy and full of modern amenities. It consists of shower, toilet, WLAN & TV, sun-baked balcony, kitchen, bar, and much more.
