Riesling is considered the "King of all Grapes" in Mosel and accounts for over 60% of the vineyard land. Mosel Riesling ranges from dry to sweet and from a pale yellowish color to a brighter yellow. The main aromas are those of lemon, honey, and in some cases even petroleum.
During your wine experience in Mosel, you might also get to try some Eiswein. This wine has high acidity but is often very sweet, due to the concentration of the sugars in the frozen grapes.
Great experience-EXCEPTIONAL value! We booked a tour of the Karp-Schreiber Winery for Wednesday May 25, 2022. We arrived at the winery and we’re greeted by Jobst Karp, the owner/winemaker and also our guide. The next couple of hours turned out to be a highlight of our 17 day European road trip. Jobst was very personable and patient with our questions as he guided us through the tasting. Of course the Reislings were very good, but I was pleasantly surprised by the Red Karp, a Regent varietal. Following the tasting, Jobst gave us a tour of his operation and cellars. Afterwards, he drove us…
Excellent guidingWe really enjoyed the experiece at Karp-Schreiber. The host took us to see vineyards, and answered our questions in a knowledable way. Very welcoming. The wine was delicious and tasteful. We recommend this vinery for tasting.
Exceeded expectationsHighly recommended! we did a wine tasting and the experience was great. It exceeded our expectations. Very nice wines, especially if you like riesling, and they are not expensive. The owner explained us everything during the tasting to better appreciate the wine and kindly replied to all our questions. We bought several bottles and will buy more in the future.
Awesome, tasty and familiarJobst is a lovely guy. The visit to the vineyards was incredible, as was the wine tasting, all very interesting. He explained in detail the characteristics of the grapes and the harvesting and bottling process. Highly recommended.
Best TourDaniel gave the most attentive and informative tour. We enjoyed this tour and consider it one of the best we've ever done. On top of the great tour, the wines were excellent. If you are in the area, you need to get this one on your agenda.

Great experienceWe had a lovely tasting at P. Stettler-Sohne with 7 different wines. The tasting room was very contemporary and our sommelier was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We ended up purchasing a few cases, which were very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Wine TastingExcellent wines but the knowledge of the grapes, process and fore sites were just as enjoyable. The owners made this fantastic. Thanks again!
