Everything you need to know before you take a tour to France
We don't know any wine enthusiast who doesn't dream of taking a wine tour in France, a wine country par excellence. Imagine yourself living la vie en rose while sipping a delicious glass of French wine (could be Bordeaux wine, Chenin Blanc from Loire Valley or actual rosé from Provence) overlooking the incredible landscapes of one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
France is, alongside Italy and Spain, among the main wine-growing and wine-producing countries and there's no part of France where you cannot find amazing wines. Starting from the south Mediterranean coast to Alsace to the Atlantic Coast, many areas are known worldwide for producing unique and fine red, white, sparkling (Champagne!) and rosé wines and you have so many wineries in France to choose from.
This means that if you are planning to visit wineries in France, you will have to carefully choose where to go first and start looking for the best region for you. There are plenty of gorgeous wineries in France, spread all over each region. All wineries in France have their own story to tell, winemaking techniques and unique wines to offer their guests.
We’d highly recommend this visit to any wine loverWe absolutely loved our wine tour at Gustave Lorenz. Our guide was very responsive to all the questions that we had and we could visit both the wine cellar as well as the wine fields. Moreover, we actually bonded with the wife of the owner, as she hosted the wine tasting. As a consequence, we were able to taste several great wines and discuss them thoroughly with a knowledgeable person like herself. Finally, the winery had some lovely wines to offer, including Grand Crus, which made the visit very worthwhile. All in all, I’d rate this as a 9 out…
The tour was greatThe tour was great! The guy explained everything very well and showed How everything worked. Hé also explained the difference between vintage and mass production. With The tasting he also Explained the different possible tastes between the lots were the grapes are harvested. It was good that I could book the trip last minute and you send an e-mail and whatssapp
Nice wine tastingI would rate the visit an 8. They are very kind, good explanation, nice wine tasting.
Our experience with wine tourism was a 10/10Your colleague Francesca was very helpful and quick with asking any questions about the tour and tasting. The chateau tour and tasting was also excellent and great value for money. Our tour guide of the chateau- Abigail was very informative and amazing at including us as the only English speaking people- ensuring that we had all the information and translating for us, she was very accommodating. The wine tasting itself was also great and if anything we would have just wanted more time there but that was because we booked the 5pm tour due to our arrival time in Montpellier.…
It was great! It was great! The owner showed us around himself – a very warm host and his passion for the vineyard and wine making process really shone through. Also the wines themselves were really excellent and my favourite type of style, so we bought a few bottles to take home! Thanks so much for setting it up.
Everything went really wellEverything went really well, thank you for helping us to arrange the wine tasting there.
5 star experience, would recommend to anybodyI had a wonderful wine tasting experience at Domaine la Sarabande. Isla, along with her two lovely dogs, greeted us upon arrival with a spread of cheese, meats, and a lot of wine bottles waiting to be tasted! The wine was outstanding, ranging from gentle whites to bold reds. Isla also let us taste a gin, which was a true cherry on the top! Thank you Isla for a great experience, and I look forward to returning.
Wine tasting tourThis tour is cheaper than some but we learned so much from our lovely tour guide . We saw the gardens , the wine making rooms and then tasted some great wines . You’ll get to understand a bit about the biodynamic methods they use to produce the wine and maybe drink your next glass of wine with a little more respect and understanding!! The wine prices are also better than many other makers should you wish to purchase any afterwards .
A fascinating story and a compelling experienceWe had an excellent time with Famille Fabre. The wine tasting was both informative and gave a taste from the vast array of wines that are bottled at the Chateau. This was complemented by a tour of the Chateau that explored the history of the family and plans for the future. All members of the family exuded passion for their work and the pride they have in their products. A well stocked shop provided a selection for all tastes and pockets.
