3 Steves Winery, the Winemaking Vision of Three Friends
The story of 3 Steves Winery begins with three friends, all named Steve, enjoying a glass of wine together and envisioning starting their own winery. Previously, Steve Melander, Steve Ziganti, and Steve Burman all had part ownership in a small boutique winery where they learned the art and business of winemaking. As the wines they produced received good feedback from consumers, the three Steves decided to start their own label. Naturally, the name of their project would be 3 Steves.
A Winery Dream Come True
Their wines were first made in a custom crush facility, but they dreamed of having their own space. In July 2013, the winery was opened at 5700 Greenville Road in the Livermore region. The facility has incredible panoramic views of the Livermore Valley and shares the road with several other vintners establishing a wonderful winemaking community. Other wineries in the valley have been extremely helpful to 3 Steves sharing knowledge and always lending a helping hand.
3 Friends Striving to Make the Perfect Wine
At 3 Steves Winery, their winemaking philosophy is to grow excellent quality grapes in the vineyards while purchasing other grape varietals from local growers.
The relationships they have established with award-winning vineyards have allowed 3 Steves to continually create excellent wines from the region. Cabernet Sauvignon is the main grape varietal on their estate, but they craft excellent red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. The grapes are processed at their winery, and the wines are available for purchase on-site. You can also find their wines at some local restaurants. 3 Steves wines have won many awards for their exceptional taste and quality.
