In a unique and extremely beautiful place in Krasnodarsky kray region in the south of Russia lies the Abrau-Durso winery. Abrau-Durso is a unique monument of nature, history and culture of Russia. The idea to begin growing grapes and start wine production was given by Bergikh Josephovich Geiduk, a district agronomist of the Black Sea region. Having explored natural conditions of Abrau-Durso Geiduk he came to the conclusion that the north-western coast of the Caucasus is one of the best geographical areas for viniculture. Abrau-Durso is the most visited winery of Russia. Annually more than 250,000 guests visit the winery and taste the most delicious sparkling wines of the country. All the expensive wines originated in the Russian homeland are from the Abrau-Durso winery. Here you will get acquainted with all stages of development of factory, starting since 1870. There are also the ancient tunnels built by the prince Leo Golitsyn.

The factory tours, multimedia gallery “Gallery of Light” and, of course, the picturesqueness and splendour beauty of the legendary lake Abrau all add to the attractiveness of the winery. The Russian champagne history started on the shores of lake Abrau attracting visitors as far back as the 19th century.
On the territory of Abrau-Durso there are two sites with viewing platforms in the middle of the vineyards providing a stunning view of the slender rows of vines, Lake Abrau and the sea at the same time. The major grape varieties in the vineyards are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling grapes.
