Young winery in La Morra
Burzi Alberto is a new and young winery, founded in 2012, with the fortune of inheriting historical vineyards under the township of La Morra. Alberto Burzi had a great passion for winemaking and started the business in the heart of Barolo. Together with her sister, they work in vineyards planted by their grandparents and try to create wines as representative of the Langhe region as possible. Their grandparents were farmers, and they never made wine. It’s just one brother and one sister who combine their skills and passions to make wine.
Burzi Alberto reflects the culture of Barolo and Langhe
The owner believes that each wine has its own story and should explain the happy and sad aspects of each vintage. Their grandparent’s historic vineyards are in the most prestigious Crus of Barolo. The main aim is to make that reflect the identity and high-quality of the terroir. Nebbiolo and Barbera are the main grape varietals used to make their award-winning red wines. The perfect wine is the combination of top-quality work in both the vineyards and the cellar.
Distinct regional Langhe wines
The wines have powerful tannins that reflect the relationship between the vines and land. Their top products include Barolo DOCG, Langhe Nebbiolo DOC, and Barbera d’Alba DOC wines. Burzi Alberto’s wines won prestigious awards at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2018 and Asia Decanter Wine Awards 2017. Wine enthusiasts can visit them to know more about the company and relish their wines.
