Casa Vinicola Sartori – The House of Good Wine
Surrounded by mesmerizing olive groves and cherry trees, Sartori is a family-owned winery located in Valpolicella, a renowned wine region in Veneto. Sticking to the Verona roots, the winery produces extraordinary wines, including red, white, rose, and sparkling wines. Their wines have an immense reputation on international fronts, and 80% of its wines are exported to 50 countries, including Europe, North America, South America, Russia, and Southeast Asia.
The Success Story of Four Generations
It was 1898 when great-grandfather Pietro purchased his first vine plot in Negrar and produced Rosso Veronese for his clients. He travelled across Verona, Brescia, lower Trentino, and Lake Garda’s outer shores to sell his products. In 1952, Franco and Pierumberto took over the winery, developing it to reach new heights. Later in 2008, Sartori added another DOC wine in its production line, following the footsteps of Mauro Braidot, founder of DOC Fruili Grave. Today, the Sartori winery is at its peak of success, owned and operated by Andrea Sartori, a fourth-generation member. He is helped by Paolo, Luca, and the partners of Colognola.
Pedo Climate and Fertile Terroirs of Valpolicella
With strict organic and sustainable viticulture practices, the Sartori family grows a wide range of grapes in its estate-owned vineyards. They cultivate Corvina, Refosco, Verduzzo, Glera, Corvinone, and Rondinella, along with Molinara and Pinot Grigio. Some plots are reserved for top-quality Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, Croatina, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Garganega, planted together in beautiful rows. The berries are picked manually. Your visit to the vineyards and the cellar will enrich your winemaking and vine growing knowledge.
