Castello di Montegiove is a place with years of history engraved in its walls. It is among the oldest wineries in the Umbria region. The property is family owned and for centuries, wine had been made. The winery is quality oriented so you can be assured that every bottle of wine made here is made the utmost love, passion and quality control.

A Winery and Their Farm Story

The castle is a pristine setting where nature has rather been let on its own and reserved and unspoiled. Here you can breath in fresh air and just be. Castello di Montegiove has a multifunctional farm where you can see cattle. The castle is also surrounded by large forests with rich wildlife. At Castello di Montegiove, you are more than invited to enjoy truffle hunting, game park and lodging in their agriturismo which is a historic house.

Terroirs that Speak of Their Heart

Private Event Celebrations at Castello di Montegiove vineyards have soil that are rich in clay and limestone. Their vineyards range from altitudes of 380 metres to 620 metres. This ensures that grapes like Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Sagrantino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, Canaiolo Nero, Trebbiano, Grechetto, Verdichhio get all the nutrients they need to get and that gives them a rich, smooth finish on your lips.
