Rédempteur winery: Champagne since 1789

Located in the Champagne region in the Marne valley of France, the Venteuil commune is home to none other than the Champagne Rédempteur winery. They have been winegrowers since 1789 and their family is a part of the History Champagne.

The winery is very careful about the nature that surround them. Every day, Champagne du Rédempteur is committed to an environmentally friendly wine-growing industry. Since 2018, they are certified HVE (High Environmental Value) and defend biodiversity and its ecosystem. This work of listening, patience, reveals the authenticity of their Champagnes to sublimate their cuvées.

The savior who once protected the Champagne area

Come and meet the authentic family of generations of winegrowers. Claudy, Cédric and Vincent are the descendants of Edmond Dubois who is more famously known as Le Rédempteur de la Champagne. In 1911, the founder of the company Edmond Dubois, their ancestor, fought against the wine merchants to obtain a law which protect the Champagne area. And so, he was given this nickname by his fellow winegrowers.

These independent winegrowers will help you discover the history of Champagne and their vintages. During the visit to this wonderful winery, you will enjoy a unique experience. You will see the mini museum, grafting, press, vat room, and oak tuns, one of which is carved. The riddling is always done by hand on the racks. The rich soils of the area have a cultivation of varieties of grapes such as Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay.

Following your visit, you can appreciate a tasting of the cuvées in a beautiful reception room in the heart of the winery. You can taste rich and delicious sparkling wines and others. Take the opportunity to discover and learn the craft of winemaking during a short walk with the owners. It is a most delightful opportunity to discover the beautiful panorama of the Marne valley as well.
