Chateau Haut Bourcier winery is a 100% family-owned vineyard. Philippe Bourcier is the father and in-charge of the winery. His wife, Anne Marie, and daughter, Yannick handle the accounting work. Laurent and Thomas help with grape harvests and wine events. Carolina welcomes and communicates with the guests and manages the House of Jean. Together, each family member unites to promote their exceptional wines.
The Wines of Château Haut Bourcier
This 28-hectares winery features vineyards that consist of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet. The Château Haut Bourcier estate locates on the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. They produce wine using the latest winemaking procedures while respecting the environment and Bordeaux traditions. Moreover, they age the wine in new oak barrels to preserve its richness and flavour. However, the family keeps experimenting with new grape varieties and new barrels to deliver the best possible quality to people.
Wine Tours and Tastings at Château Haut Bourcier
The Château Haut Bourcier vineyard encourages winery visits as the estate owns five guest rooms in the House of Jean. This family home offers guests the utmost comfort with its covered swimming pool, fishing pond, VTT and a raised park. Recently, the winery opened a new reception room for events, such as weddings, birthdays, family celebrations. Many beautiful views and tourist attractions surround the vineyard. The winery remains open to the public from Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday by appointment. The family will welcome you and give you a guided tour of their winery and barrel cellar. Then, you will follow by tasting their red, white and rosé wines.
