Creation of the Château Maresque brand started in the year 1999 by the new owner. It’s a property of 13 ha that is existing for more than three centuries. It is located in the heart of the Gaillac Vineyards on the best hills. There are two banks; on the right bank of the Tarn from the first coasts to the granite and calcareous soils of the Cordis plateau, the sunny grounds nourish fruity whites and subtle reds. However, on the left bank, the soils are gravelly and are initially suitable for the production of dense and deep red wines.
Terroir: Château Maresque comes from a deep clay-limestone soil; Boulbène; and granitic basements. Its climate is south facing, so it gets most of its benefits from two significant influences; the oceanic sweetness which limits the risks of frost and allows a good water supply of the vine and the Mediterranean heat, in summer, accentuated by the wind of Autan (south-east) which ensures a good maturity of the grapes.
It is one of the pristine vineyards in France, a deep clay-limestone soil, located on the first slopes, facing south, a climate benefiting from oceanic sweetness and Mediterranean warmth and it has a unique grape variety all over the world. You will get all this only in this vinery. They have received so many awards for rendering their customers with the finest quality wine which also makes them the best Vinery in the world.
