Chateau Sociando-Mallet Has Been Around For Decades
Sociando Malet, a mythical estate since 1969, when it bought the magnificent vineyard opposite the Gironde, in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne. This property in a sorry state of repair is nevertheless an echo in the eyes of Jean Gautreau, the owner and creator of the estate. The vineyard covered only 5 hectares of land, today, more than 50 years later, the vines cover more than 83 hectares of land, with an incomparable quality in the bottle.
Ideal Location of The WInery
The château is located in a small commune about ten kilometres north of Pauillac, in the Haut-Médoc appellation. This appellation, whose reputation is well established, gives us high quality wines with an unparalleled finish.
The vineyard perpetuates a tradition that has passed through the hands of many protagonists, from Basque aristocrats to a bishop of Bayonne, this estate is full of stories and legends that will keep you on your toes.
Generations of Know-How
The know-how of the Domaine is ancient and has remained in the family despite the generations. Every detail is calculated to give their wines a better quality and a special distinction. The space between each vine is calculated in order to favour grapes that are more concentrated in tannin, sweeter, with more marked colours and aromas.
