Château Tronquoy-Lalande, One of the Oldest Wineries in Saint-Estèphe
Situated in the heart of Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Tronquoy-Lalande, is one of the oldest wineries in the region. The winery has taken its name from the estate’s first owner, Francois Tronquoy, and the place name Lalande which means the heath. The history of the estate dates back to the 18th century, from the family of Victor Louis. During the coming decades, the estate went through various owners until the year 1968 when it was purchased by the well-known Casteja Family. In 2006, the winery was purchased by Martin Bouygues and Olivier Bouygues who are the current owners of the estate.
