Constantia Glen Winery – Serene Winemaking Since 1695
The Constantia Glen Winery, located very the center of Cape Town rests below the mountain pass known as Constantia Nek. It is a picturesque boutique winery producing cool-climate, premium wines. Their wine estate is in the upper parts of Constantiaberg which is one of the most beautiful areas of the Constantia Valley. Winemaking in the region dates back to 1685 when Simon van der Stel produced wine on the farm. The Waibel Family bought the estate in 1960, and then in 1998, Dieter Waibel, along with his son and son-in-law, started winemaking at the estate. The hard work and determination of the Waibel Family have made them one of the best known and respected winemakers of this region and the country.
Constantia Glen Winery wines show the quality and features of their cool climate region with complex structure and elegant aroma.
The Winery has an Estate with 29 Hectares of Vines
