One of the oldest family wineries in Marsala making authentic regional wines since 1875

In 1875, Vito Curatolo Arini decided to build his winery in the middle of his vineyards. The idea of our entrepreneur was to challenge the large and established producers of the time by focusing on the quality of producst and the development of foreign markets. He immediately started a collaboration with a Swiss expert who enhanced the family vineyards and began the production of Marsala. By the early 19th century, Vito Curatolo Arini was one of the first companies exporting to the United States and South America. The numerous awards obtained are proof, not only of entrepreneurial skills, but also of the qualitative excellence of the exported products. Moreover, Vito Curatolo Arini immediately gave importance to packaging: the first label was designed by the well-known architect Ernesto Basile, the father of the Sicilian Art Nouveau style. After the founder's death in 1896, the winery passed to his wife Rosa and later to their four sons, who ran the family business and increased its success. Today, the founder's descendants, Riccardo and Alexandra, run the winery with pride and courage.

Great wine with a great guide

Yesterday we were lucky enough to be guided through the cantina by Andrea, a professor of enology and passionate lover of wine. His expertise and knowledge made our 'private' visit, there were only the four of us, an unforgettable experience. We really appreciated his kindness, too!
