The Wine-growing Tradition Since 1729
The Weingut Zur Römerkelter is a small family business present in the heart of the Middle Moselle. Wine-growing has been a tradition of the family since 1729. Already in the 10th generation, their traditional family winery “Zur Römerkelter” engages in quality-conscious, organic viticulture in the Lieser valley, a tributary valley of the Mosel valley. They got the ECOVIN certification in 1995, and they have been producing organic wines since then. Very gentle processing is their standard, and a diverse biotope is created in the vineyard. They aim to transform the potential of every single berry of the grapes to a maximum of drinking pleasure. Their teacher is the nature, and the main focus is on growing the grapes. The wines have an intense fruity taste that reflects the qualities of the Mossel Valley.
