The wine estate at Domain de Montcy is located in the heart of the Loire Valley and produces wines in the Cheverny and Cour Cheverny appellations. The vineyard covers an area of 30 hectares. Domain de Montcy manages all aspects of the winemaking production themselves, from planting to bottling they control each stage of production. The goal of Domain de Montcy is to get the maximum benefit out of their terroir. The winery produces three different AOCs including AOC Cheverny, AOC Cour Cheverny, and AOC Crémant de Loire. Domain de Montcy follows organic farming techniques that ensure fine quality and sustainability for future winemaking generations.
A Mix of Rare and Modern Grape Varieties
In Cheverny AOC, the wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, while the Red and Rosé wines are made from Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Malbec. In Cour Cheverny, the winery uses a rare grape variety, Romorantin, in order to produce white wines.
