The History of Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair
Louis, the founder of this winery and one of the forerunners of the Marsannay Rosé, passed on his love for wine to Jean Louis Fougeray in 1952. Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair was a family business that was established in 1978 by acquiring and renting vines in the prestigious Burgundy appellations of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Now, Patrice and Laurence Ollivier manage the winery with 15 hectares of vineyards. Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair passed down their winemaking knowledge from generation to generation. Today, you will find their exceptional array of wines on every continent.
The High-Quality Wines of Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair
The main focus of the winemakers and owners is to produce high-quality wines in the various appellations and to continue as a top winery in the Burgundy area. This family business was built as a significant asset surrounded by a competent team. The management shows all its effectiveness but also a rigor within the company. Of these twenty-three different wines in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, Patrice decided to stop using chemical fertilizers to guarantee the character and authenticity of these products. The grapes are hand-picked, the grapes carefully selected and sorted to ensure quality wines.
