Explore a Winery with 1000 Years of History

Guicciardini Strozzi, Since 994, is one of the oldest wineries in Tuscany

Tenute Guicciardini Strozzi winery is one of the oldest wine producers in Tuscany with the earliest evidence of winemaking on the estate dating back to 994. The estate is located at the historic estate of Tenuta di Cusona in heart of Tuscany, close to the medieval town of San Gimignano, spread across 530 hectares. The winery is run by the descendants of some of the most politically and economically powerful families in Italian and European history.

The current members of the family are the 15th generation of descendants of Lisa Gherardini del Giocondo, immortalized as Mona Lisa with the painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

Heritage as Rich And Elegant As The Wines It Produces

Over the time of 1000 years of winemaking, lots of things have changed but the winery always stayed with its extraordinary heritage. The wines are produced with handpicked and carefully sorted grapes that are vinified in vitrified concrete tanks and steel autoclaves at a controlled temperature. The aging in barriques and in bottles takes place inside the centuries-old cellars. Their wines have been reviewed by the most important newspaper and have received awards all over the world.
