Jenkyn Place winery: exciting wines from Great Britain
Jenkyn Place is a boutique, family-owned estate producing award-winning English sparkling wines from Hampshire. It was historically a hop farm, growing some of the most highly prized hops in the whole of Britain.
These same chalky Hampshire soils are now home to our much-loved grapes, which make some of the most exciting sparkling wines in Britain
Producing top quality sparkling wines
The vineyard had been created by Simon and Rebecca Bladon who bought Jenkyn Place winery in 1997. Talented Irish winemaker Dermot Sugrue is the brains behind Jenkyn Place’s highly praised wines, building on his experience at Nyetimber and Wiston, while Simon admits being more artist than a chemist. Designed and planted with excellence in mind, the vineyard produces top-quality English sparkling wines.
