Les Celliers de Sion Winery, Two Identities, One Successful Winery
Les Celliers de Sion Winery represents the joining of two traditions and their respective skill sets. The winery story is one of a friendship between two families and a partnership in which each respects the other’s identity. When Varone joined Bonvin in 1992 to create “Les Celliers de Sion,” the two companies sealed their destinies. What had started as a purely financial partnership slowly evolved into a joint endeavor in which the wineries merged to share a common goal.
Though initially in competition, today, Les Celliers de Sion Winery’s product range aspires to fully represent the diversity and potential of Valais winemaking.
Two Comprehensive Approaches at Les Celliers de Sion Winery
Through its history and heritage, Bonvin showcases the winery property and terroir, while Varone emphasizes a comprehensive approach to wine. The two complementary approaches ensure that everyone will find what they are looking for and get the chance to discover wine in a new light. The modern winemaking facility was inaugurated in autumn 2017, shortly before the 25th anniversary of Varone and Bonvin’s initial association.
