The Winery Lies In the Heart of Italy
Marco Bonfante’s winery is located in the beautiful region of Piedmont, in the heart of Italy. At the foot of a hill live Marco and Micaela, a brother and sister who decided to take over the family winery in 2000. Behind them are eight generations of winegrowers, just like them, who are passionate about their work. This passion is reflected in their wines, the elegant reds with complex acidity, the fresh and fruity whites with mineral accents.
Maro Bonfante Respects The Environment with A Whole Heart
They now have over 23 hectares of vines, all of which are hand-harvested by their teams during the harvest to improve the quality of the grapes. At this winery, their philosophy follows a low impact environmental logic. Respect for the environment is the starting point: to obtain high quality wines you cannot ignore the care of the vineyards; the low yield per vine and the selection of the grapes, both before and during the harvest, are the basis. Their wines are produced in a region that represents the excellence for the production of Albarossa and Barbera d’Asti from some of the most renowned Italian grape varieties and appellations, such as Barolo, Albarone, Nizza and Monferrato Roso. You will find these appellations under different wines, harmonious and complex red wines, fruity and fragrant white wines and finally sparkling wines, whether white, red or rosé you will find a dry and fruity sparkling wine for your next event. The particular soil and relief of the Piedmont region offers to the wines a sunny taste and a unique tannin.
