Winery Encompassed by Unmatchable Natural Beauty
In the enchanting setting of the Tuscan hills, just outside of beautiful Siena, stands a beautiful wine estate, Le Buche. The winery owns a total area of 51 hectares, out of which 21 hectares of vineyards and olive groves contribute to the production of organic wines and extra virgin olive oil. Around 30 hectares of the area is covered by beautiful white truffle-filled wood, providing an essence of unmatchable natural beauty to the viewer.
Part of a Famous Wine Project in Tuscany
After leaving his previous job, Giuseppe Olivi purchased the estate of La Sovana in 1986. With the success of his new vocation, Giuseppe and his wife Giovannella purchased a two-hectare vineyard, Le Buche. Along with his son, Ricardo, he started growing grapes and extended the winemaking business to reach new heights. He collaborated with well-known winemakers and experts and carried out his first harvest in 2006. The winery became a part of the famous wine project in Tuscany.
A Perfect Address for Agrotourism
Over the years, the business expanded with the purchase of more vineyards, where an extensive range of vines is grown today. Some of the company’s primary grape varieties include Pugnitello, Sangiovese, Merlot, Syrah, Trebbiano, Verdicchio, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier. The estate also produces wines from Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Malvasia.
Today, La Buche is a magnificent Wine Resort & Spa, a perfect destination for agritourism – a place full of pleasures situated between natural landscapes and sceneries. You can spend some quality time savouring wines and relaxing in the spa. Tourists are also invited to La Sovana Country Relais, where they can indulge themselves in rich history.
