Piazzo winery is a family run estate that was established in 1960s in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio near the town of Alba in Piedmont. Three generations of the Piazzo family have worked over the years with immense passion to lead the winery to its current state.
With the growth in popularity of wines from this region such as Barbaresco and Barolo all over the world, the estate grew in size and they currently own more that 70 hectares of vineyard mostly located near the winery but some also spread around other areas. Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Chardonnay, Merlot, Arneis and Moscato are the major grape varieties grown in their vineyards. The goal of Piazzo winery has always been to produce wines that are the real expression of the land and culture, showing a classic and traditional, but also very clean. They have a wide selection of red, white, dessert and sparkling wines that they produce. Some of the classification of their wines are Barolo DOCG, Barbaresco DOCG, Barbera d’Alba DOC, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, Langhe DOC, Piemonte DOC, Moscato d’Asti DOCG and Roero Arneis DOCG.
The Piazzo philosphy has been to look to the future, while keeping your feet firmly rooted in tradition by producing wines that are its most authentic expression. For this reason, their wines won multiple awards and high scores over the years.
