Plavinci, Family Owned and Operated Organic Winery
Plavinci Winery is a small family winery in Belgrade and one of only three organic wineries in Serbia.
The winery makes 100% vegan, handcrafted wines from regional and rare grape varieties that are very different from typical grape varieties.
The famous grape Regent grows in their vineyards and makes their ‘Indigo’ red wine. They are also one of the three producers who grow the Panonia variety of grape.
Vineyards with Excellent Locations in the Region
Their vineyards are present in the region’s best locations, namely Plavinci, Makino Brdo, and Provalije. Plavinci Winery is an organically certified farm, and there is no use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. The winemakers maintain a low intervention policy in their vineyards and winery and let nature do its work. Some of the grape varietals that grow in their estate include Panonia, Tamjanika, Marselan and Regent. The best grapes are used to make their unique red, white, and rosé wines.
Winery Working Naturally
Plavinci Winery takes excellent care in the vineyards, and the best grapes are handpicked. There is no addition to the wines during the process of winemaking. The wines mature in the cellar, and small amounts of sulfites are used while bottling. No animal products are used at their estate, and the Plavinci is a 100% vegan winery. Their wines have a unique aroma and taste that tells us about the region’s qualities and the hard work and commitment they put in the winemaking.
