Mauro Perez started Vina Pedrosa
The story of Vina Pedrosa was started by Mauro Perez, who was a hard-working man with respect for his beloved land. He believed in the potential of the family vineyards, and the Perez Pascuas siblings decide to establish their winery in 1980 to keep the family tradition of winemaking alive. The winery is in Burgos’ Pedrosa de Duero. It is a world-renowned company run by experienced winemakers who fulfill the task of transforming grapes into quality, innovative wines. Efforts are made to ensure that the ecosystem is conserved.
The Winery has Traditional Tempranillo Bushes
The company owns 120 hectares of vineyards and fully believe in their ancestor’s ideas and beliefs. The region has an extreme elevation with low rainfall, clayey soil with limestone, and temperature perfect for the growth of ripe grapes. Meticulous work is done in the vineyards to grow a low but high-quality yield that expresses the terroir. There are old traditional bushes of Tempranillo that are used to make authentic and pure red wine. The winery has an annual production of around 600,000 bottles.
Purity and Authenticity of Wines
Just like the vineyards, proper care and attention go into each and every detail during winemaking. The wines reflect the features of the harvest and quality of the gifted land of Ribera del Duero. The wines are aged in French and American oak barrels that give character, charisma, and structure to the wines. The perfect balance between tradition and modern technology allows them to make top-class wines.
