Wein-und Sektgut Barth is a family-run winery and estate that is situated in Rheingau, Germany. The Rheingau region is perfect for winemaking as it follows the path of the Rhine River. The Rhine almost always flows north, except for 35 km of its route where it begins to flow west, exposing it to the sun. It is here, in the Rheingau, that the perfect conditions are created for the growing of vines.
The Rheingau is one of the oldest vines growing regions in the world and also boasts a rich cultural history with many castles, monuments and palaces
Vines growing on excellent sites
The vines of Wein-und Sektgut Barth are spread across the Hendelberg, Schutzenhaus, Schonhell, Hassel, Wisselbrunnen, and Lenchen regions. The Wein-und Sektgut Barth family has a true passion and love for German wine and no effort is spared in creating only the most unique and high-quality wines using only the most outstanding grapes. All of the grapes are hand-harvested and only organic techniques are used in the management of the vineyard. The focus when working the vineyards is on future generations and therefore sustainability is key to all practices on the estate.
Experience the great taste of Rheingauer sparklings
The sparkling wines produced by winery Barth are fermented using grapes from only the best locations in the world. These wines are fermented from only fully ripened grapes that are hand-harvested and then gently processed to create a unique taste. The wines are stored for an extended time in the bottle, together with yeast. The final product is a perfect bottle of sparkling wine for which no expense has been spared. Since 1999, the Wein-und Sektgut Barth has been a member of the Association of German Quality Wineries.
