Winery Fredrich Kiefer in beautiful Baden
The winery Friedrich Kiefer Winery and Estate is located in the Baden Region of Germany. This gorgeous estate was founded by Diedrich Kiefer in 1851 who lay the foundation for the winery’s future success. In 2008, the winery changed ownership and now belongs to Helen and Martin Schmidt who believe that wine a making is not a profession but rather a hobby or a passion.
Combining tradition and modern way of working
The Kiefers combine tradition and current technologies and lifestyle factors into their wine making style. They do not see the winery as a corporate establishment but as a personal passion project that illustrates their hearts, souls and love for fine wines. These wines are produced through loving care of the vineyard and the individual grapes and also thanks to the soil and climate of the region.
The unique location of the winery means that it receives around 1700 hours of sunshine a year, making the terroir diverse and perfect for the development of the vines
All of the grapes are hand-picked to ensure their quality and are carefully sorted by the family members themselves. The red grapes are left to ferment on the mash, using the classic and traditional fermentation processes.
Experience a wide range of wine products
The final products are wines that are full-bodied, excellent quality and enjoyable to a wide range of palates. Weingut Friedrich Kiefer has a number of wine portfolios including the Kiefer’s Cheeky Kaiserstuhler, the Kiefer’s Young Poets, the Pine Classic Whites, the Kiefer’s classic white autumn roses, the Pine Classic Pinot Noirs, the Kiefer’s Boutique wines, and the Pine’s sweetness wines.
