The vineyards are located in two different wine regions of Germany, the Rheingau and Frankonia. The vineyards in Rheingau have been cultivated in two of the best Riesling locations since 1875. This location has deep, high-clay soil. This is where the red wines come from the Burgundy family.
The Franconian wines are based on the two best locations on Untermain in Frankonia. The vines are planted on the almost 1000 years old terraces. The soil changes from shell limestone to federal sandstone which is due to the high dry-stone walls.
The climatic and geological peculiarities give rise to the spicy, strong character in wines that grow on the Kallmuth
The grape varieties produced altogether from both the regions are Silvaner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Zweigelt.
This winery is a part of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitätsweingüter e.V.) which is an organization in which most of the top producers of Germany are members of. This is a proof that shows that they are focused to produce unique wines of the highest quality. The winery produces wine of the various appellations. Some of them are Große Gewächse, VDP Weingut, Prädikatsweine, and Qualitätsweine. One can find a variety of wines in their portfolio like red wine, white wine, rose wine, sparkling wine, and dessert wine.
