Pazo Pondal Winery is located in Arbo, Condado do Tea blending naturally into its impressive landscape. The winery was built in 2006 in the Pondal plot and receives its name from the area. The current owners are the second-generation winemakers in the family and have inherited the passion, devotion, and love for vineyards from their parents.

The Winery has 14 Hectares of Land Dedicated to Vineyards at One Single Location

The winery has 14 hectares of land dedicated to vineyards at one single location. This is unique to Pazo Pondal Winery because the region is famous for wineries having multiple smaller vineyards. The vineyard is excellently situated in a valley surrounded by the mountains which creates a suitable microclimate to grow grapes. Their vineyards are in transition to fully organic viticulture  and their goal is to ensure minimal risk in the wine’s aromatic and organoleptic properties being altered through the exposure of the grapes to certain chemical products. Pazo Pondal Winery seeks to obtain organic grapes in a sustainable and balanced manner, preserving the fertility of the soil and respecting the biodiversity of the environment. In the vineyards, they cultivate grape varieties such as Albariño, Treixadura, and Godello. These grapes are used to make amazing white wines in the cellar.
