I'm Sarah, a British wine and food travel writer, outdoor guide, tour leader and sommelier. Italy, and especially Emilia Romagna, has been my home for many years and I love sharing the stories, places and flavours surrounding our wonderful, yet iften overlooked, wines. Wine tours among Bologna's atmospheric wine bars and out-of-town with country walks, winery visits and tastings and village strolls to really get to know the wine culture of Emilia Romagna together with the fabulous local food, so fundamental to our area.

As a British wine & food travel writer, sommelier, licensed tour leader, outoor guide and long-term resident of Italy I'm on something of a mission to share the wonderful wines of Emilia Romagna and the stories behind them!

From east to west of the region, our wines tend to get overlooked in favour of those from other more famous wine regions around the country. Here in Emilia Romagna there really is an incredible variety of still, sparkling, white and red wines to discover, not to mention the growing selection of rosés, that pair perfectly with Emilia Romagna's celebrated food. We have some seriously amazing dessert wines too!

If time is short, we can explore the best the region has to offer at some historic and atmospheric wine bars in the centre of Bologna, otherwise with an out-of-town trip you can get to know the wines where they originate, visiting the wineries and walking through the vines. Great experience!

It was a great day. Sarah was very friendly and has a lot of knowledge she shared with us. At the beginning we had a very good breakfast. The two wineries were very interesting and we have few very good wines. At the end we got few notes, where we can have a good diner in Bologna. We absolutely recommend this tour with Sarah, it is unforgettable!

Dozza Wine Tour - Amazing Experience!

We had a wonderful experience with Sarah! We really enjoyed our tour of Dozza as well as the wine tastings we had at the two vineyards - we learned a lot about the differences between grapes and the processes used to make different wine. We felt submerged into the local wine culture of Emilia-Romagna. Sarah was lovely - we can’t recommend her tour enough!
