Write a reviewThis was the BEST EXPERIENCE I have ever had at a wine tasting. They gave us bottles of wine, the sat and drank with us, the fed us fresh regional food. The tour of the land is amazing I learned something about Sicily I did not know concerning Carob. The cat from parts unknown is a trip, we named him MENSA, double meaning English smart and italiano cafeteria. Worth every penny getting there is a wee bit of a challenge since Alessandro della rocca is a tiny town.
Enzo welcomed us onto the property with a tour (and tasting) of the grape vines, pistachio plants and olive oil trees among other fruits! Then a tour of the wine cellar and process. Followed by an amazing lunch full of fresh produce. They even made it gluten free! Enzo also showed us some old Sicilian traditional things around the property. Felt less like a formal tour and more like a gathering of friends. We felt incredibly welcome, and had the most amazing day!

A fantastic experience at Salvatore's winery! After a phone call, we were spontaneously offered a delicious wine tasting with a tour of the winery and an excellent lunch with home-cooked Sicilian specialties on the same day! We were given a very warm welcome and spent the whole afternoon with Salvatore and his friends - you really feel like you're in an Italian family! We were allowed to stay overnight safely at the winery with our camper, bought wine and had an unforgettable day! PS: Salvatore doesn't speak English, but he has friends/family who support him and he makes it possible for you to experience this day with an "interpreter" :) Make sure to register in advance (phone number can be found on Google) - costs €15 per person
