A unique place where we were personally welcomed by the winery's winemaker and he lovingly told us about each of the amazing wines they make. We tried almost all the wines and brandies and were amazed by the varieties, the imagination and the professionalism with which they were made. We were very impressed with the garlic wine and the beetroot wine, they even make a tomato wine which is very suitable to eat with pasta, but my favourite is the Regina wine with a fine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Shiraz with a rich flavour and a heady aroma of prunes. We tried coconut brandy, melon brandy, date brandy and watermelon brandy. The place is pet friendly and we hope they will soon start offering the popular beer for dogs.

As a step from our tour in the Balchik Palace we stopped by the winery house and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and let us taste different types of wine with brief information about them and how are they served. It is hard to resist not buying a bottle after :) The assortment is great and there are wines not to be found elsewhere. The fig wine and the almond wine quickly became our favourites. Prices are quite reasonable.

Stefan helps you to find the right wine that is your favourite taste. All the wines I have tasted were delicious, there is a big choice and variety in wines, not only regular wines but also something unusual for wine such as chocolate, sour cherry, pomegranate, tomato wine, garlic wine, hot pepper wine, melon rakia and many more. It’s a very authentic place and it’s the only place in Bulgaria where you can taste such wines. It was an amazing experience for us.
