Winery tour and tasting of 3 wines with 3 courses at Villa della Rosa

A delightful experience I stumbled upon during a visit to nearby Bucchianico: Google recommended this winery as one of the closest places for a wine tasting. The owner was incredibly welcoming and even greeted us without a reservation. We were treated to his bread and olive oil. The wine tasting was very relaxing: despite the somewhat challenging drive to the winery, the grounds are elegantly and beautifully designed, with a magnificent view of the olive groves. The wines are excellent, especially the red. I would have appreciated a bit more care when purchasing the bottle of red wine: we weren't given a bag or box to carry it in, and during the drive, the rose, a valuable decorative element on the label, fell off. Aside from this minor flaw, it was a positive experience, and if I ever travel to Abruzzo again, I will definitely return and am eager to try the cuisine as well.

Discovered almost by chance, Tenuta Villa della Rosa was a find we will cherish forever. Umberto and his family welcomed us like lifelong friends, showing us the enchanting essence of this small estate nestled in the hills of Chieti: the wine, treated almost like a child, the authentic flavors of home cooking, and above all, its people. Exquisite wine, exquisite food, exquisite people! But the most beautiful thing is that authenticity that cannot be manufactured and that makes a place truly special. We left with wonderful memories, but above all, with a promise: to return. Greetings from Venice!

A magnificent place, breathtaking views, and guaranteed tranquility. We slept in the heart of a village overlooking the vineyards, enjoying a stunning sunrise and sunset! Simply perfect. And what can we say about the meal prepared by our hosts? The ingredients were perfectly chosen for high-quality cuisine, and the wines were delicious. It was absolutely perfect! Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic experience at La Villa della Rosa. It was a spontaneous plan (we called just an hour before), and Umberto immediately made our visit possible - same for the other guests who arrived even later. Umberto and his girlfriend Silvia warmly welcomed us: we enjoyed the quiet place with a view and had a wonderful time over the tasty 5 course dinner prepared by Silvia with wine pairing and Umberto‘s story on how he started the winery 10 years ago. Both are living their dream and you can feel it in every detail, like in the little dried roses attached with wax to the winery’s bottles. And, of course, there is also reasoning behind (have a look at the website). What a memorable evening!
