The origins of the Il Conte Villa Prandone farm are deeply rooted in the history, culture and viticulture of the Marche.

The headquarters is located in Monteprandone, in the province of Ascoli Piceno. Around the cellar, located at 273 m above sea level, 50 hectares of owned vineyards unfold on splendid south-facing hills. The slopes enjoy the influence and scents of the Adriatic Sea to the east, just 7 km from the estate, and the fresh breezes coming from the Sibillini mountains, 30 km away to the west. Known mainly for the production of wines that reflect the character and territory in which it is located, Il Conte Villa Prandone stands out for its constant and extreme search for quality. This gives rise to wines that are as elegant as they are powerful, with great pleasure in the sip.

The brothers Walter, Emmanuel, Samuel and Marina, the third generation of the De Angelis family, grew up in the family vineyards, following in the footsteps of their father Marino and grandfather Amilcare, who founded Il Conte Villa Prandone in the 1950s.
The origin of the name derives from the nickname of grandfather Amilcare, "Lu Kont", in Italian "The Count", as legend has it that he came from a noble family of landowners who declined due to internal divisions at the end of the nineteenth century.
From their grandfather and father, the four brothers learned and interpreted in a contemporary way the dedication to agricultural work, the drive to relentlessly improve wine production and attention to the environment.

For years the De Angelis family has been breeding native varieties, including pecorino, passerina, Montepulciano and Sangiovese which, thanks to the favorable climate and clayey soils rich in nutrients, give rise to fresh, complex wines with clear minerality.

The winemaking takes place in cellars located eight meters underground and involves the use of barriques and ancient concrete tanks, handed down for generations.

The family carefully follows the entire supply chain, from the care of the vines to the sale of the final product, relying on capable collaborators active all over the world with whom they share the same entrepreneurial philosophy and ethics.

The sacrifices, hard work and attention to quality are recognized by authoritative awards at national and international level, giving the company the right stimulus and energy to improve and aim for new horizons of excellence.
