PaardenKloof Estate: A Hidden Gem in South Africa
PaardenKloof is a historic site where Khoisan once herder their Nguni cattle. The farm is located at the foothills of the Babilonstoring Mountains in Bot River. High-altitude mountainous vineyards, laden with ancient clay and shale soils, combine with a maritime micro-climate to produce exceptional wines. Ataqua is the collective name for the indigenous Khoisan and Khoi-Khoi ethnic groups that lives between the Cape of Good Hope and Knysna for thousands of years. The Ataqua range honours these communities and their wisdom that enrich our common heritage.
