Alcantara Vineyards: A Family Legacy of Winemaking

Founded in 2004 by Barbara and Bob Predmore, Alcantara Vineyards is a family-run winery that reflects a deep passion for winemaking. Barbara's dream of growing grapes and crafting exceptional wines led her to the ideal location at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. This picturesque setting has helped put Northern Arizona on the global wine map.

Perfect Conditions for Quality Wines

The unique environment surrounding Alcantara includes lush vineyards, the flowing Verde River, and a serene picnic area, all set against a backdrop of soaring eagles. The rocky limestone soil and sunny climate of Verde Valley closely resemble renowned wine regions in Italy and France. After two years of dedicated experimentation, the Predmore family achieved remarkable results, earning numerous awards for their high-quality wines.

A Diverse Selection of Award-Winning Wines

Alcantara Vineyards boasts over 20,000 vines and cultivates 17 grape varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery prioritizes sustainable farming practices to protect the environment and ensure the health of the vines. Handpicked grapes are transformed into a range of award-winning red, white, rosé, and dessert wines, showcasing the rich flavors of the region.

Whether you're a wine enthusiast or a casual visitor, Alcantara Vineyards offers a unique experience in Arizona's wine country, where quality and sustainability go hand in hand.

A pleasant place to spend time with family, friends, or as a couple. They offer a variety of their own wines, tapas, and pizzas. Everything is delicious on a terrace with a beautiful view of the vineyards, with pleasant live music. I thought the dishes were a bit pricey for the amount, but we had such a good time that it made up for it.

It's hard to decide how to rate because of the situation but because of the two awesome employees that fixed the almost disastrous visit, I'll do 5 star because it's not fair that one person (manager) ruins a place. We had friends from Canada come in and of course, we wanted to take them to a local winery. One couple had already been here and liked it, not my first place to go but close to our campground. We went on Valentine's Day, we got there before the two tour groups but decided to wait to order after them. One couple, not familiar with wine asked my opinion, they didn't like dry, I said I thought most AZ red was dry but I'm sure the people who work here would guide them in the right direction. Wow, was I wrong. We were all in line (waited until tour group was done), our guests said we would like a flight but don't want dry-the MANAGER said I can't choose your wines-our guests say we don't know anything about wines, we just don't want dry, the MANAGER says just read the menu. Wow. Myself and the other couple ordered sangria but I knew we were about to guzzle and go. We went back to the table and were about to leave but two amazing employees came over and honestly I don't know how but fixed the situation, not by throwing money or comps at us but by their genuine customer service. In my opinion, I understand there are good managers, but maybe if they are not customer service oriented keep them away from the public because this review, would be a very negative one if not for the two lovely ladies who rectified the situation.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alcantara Winery – A Must-Visit in Arizona! Alcantara Winery is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning vineyard views and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The tour was fantastic—informative, engaging, and gave us a real appreciation for the winemaking process. It’s clear that a lot of passion and care go into every bottle. The wine I tasted was top-notch! Each pour was unique and flavorful, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, offering great recommendations based on preferences. The setting itself is so peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy some truly incredible wine. If you’re anywhere near the Sedona area, Alcantara Winery is a must-visit. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or just looking for a beautiful spot to unwind, this place has it all. We will absolutely be back! 🍷✨

We got married at Alcantara in early November of this year. First and foremost Annie is an incredible venue coordinator. She was there every step of the way. She was fun and awesome to work with and made our day very special. Some major bonuses for getting married at Alcantara are the beauty as a venue, the management of the bar on the wedding day, and the flexibility with how you can decorate/and make the space fit any vision you can think of. One thing to consider is that it's an outdoor venue, so plan according to the seasons. We got lucky! There was some wind and a little chill during the day, but the week before, the weather was hot and in the 90s! The other thing is there is no kitchen, so make sure your caterer can keep the food warm, and consider that when scoping for food options. All in all we had a really beautiful day. Highly recommend the venue and especially Annie.

My husband and I got married here a couple of weeks ago, and Alcantara could not have been more perfect for our big day. We had toured a couple other wedding venues, and for what we were looking for everything was overpriced and not what we envisioned. I grew up new Cottonwood, had never been to this vineyard before, and just on the off chance emailed Annie the manager there. We got in on our wedding date, with affordable pricing for the absolute beauty that this venue is. To add to the fact that this venues natural beauty is already great, the wedding manager Annie is the best! I could not have imaged having to work with anyone else except for her. She literally goes above and beyond for her couples. Annie was always quick to respond, and never got annoyed with me emailing her with my plethora of questions. You can tell she has been doing this for a very long time, because she brings her knowledge to the table throughout the process all the way to end of your event. Even helps a bride hold her dress when she needs to pee! I could gush so much more about her. All in all, amazing venue, beautiful views, great wine, sunsets, and awesome staff!!

The place is very pretty, perfect for parties, events, or just a relaxing weekend. The prices for the wine tasting are very high ($20) compared to other local vineyards. The food prices are also quite high; although the pizza is good, $19 is a lot for a pizza that only serves two people. Overall, the scenery is very beautiful.
