Crafting Quality Wines in Andorra

Casa Auvinyà is a distinguished winery located in Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra, at an impressive altitude of 1,200 meters. Nestled in the town of Auvinyà, the winery benefits from steep southwest-facing slopes, ideal for vine cultivation. Founded in 2005 by the Tor Armengol family, Casa Auvinyà combines the agricultural expertise of Jordi Tor with the innovative spirit of his children, Cristina, Esteve, and daughter-in-law Elena Clemente. Their mission is to produce high-quality wines that reflect the unique character of their land and climate.

A Thoughtful Approach to Winemaking

Before establishing the winery, a comprehensive study identified the best grape varieties suited to the region's soil and mountain climate. This research guided the winemakers in selecting grapes that could thrive at high altitudes, ensuring the production of exceptional white and red wines. Casa Auvinyà focuses on nurturing the grapes, allowing them to express their true potential from vineyard to bottle.

Achievements and Recognition

Today, Casa Auvinyà boasts 5,000 vines, producing around 3,000 bottles annually. Their portfolio includes three red wines: Evolució (100% Pinot Noir), It evolved (100% Syrah), and Fora Pista (100% Pinot Noir), along with the white wine Imagine (a blend of Viognier, Pinot Gris, and Albariño). Since 2014, these wines have garnered international acclaim, winning over 12 awards at prestigious competitions such as the International Wine Challenge in London and the BACCHUS in Madrid. With more than 10,000 wines from over 40 countries evaluated by expert judges, Casa Auvinyà has firmly established itself on the global wine stage.

The place is very beautiful, the wines are very good and the woman who leads the tasting (Cristina) is very nice and friendly, and she explained everything to us and clarified our doubts when we visited the vineyard during the tasting, an activity that we should definitely do if you are passing through Andorra
