A boutique winery dedicated to quality and sustainability, Domaine Kikones specializes in organic wines crafted by skilled winemakers.
As the first and only winery in the Thrace region of Greece with a focus on exporting to luxury restaurants and hotels worldwide, Domaine Kikones produces 40,000 bottles annually.

Consistent Quality with One Bottling per Year

At Domaine Kikones, the philosophy is simple: One Bottling per Year per Label. This ensures that every bottle you taste is consistent with the award-winning wines you may have enjoyed before. The winery's commitment to quality is reflected in its production of 40,000 bottles each year, sourced from organically cultivated vineyards.

Exceptional Vineyards in Maronia

Located in the picturesque region of Maronia, Domaine Kikones spans 10 hectares. The unique climate, influenced by the Thracian sea breeze and the Ismaros mountain, creates an ideal environment for grape cultivation. The red clay soil, rich in silicon dioxide stones, contributes to the high quality of grapes such as Malagousia, Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese, and Limnio.

The Winemakers Behind the Craft

Domaine Kikones was founded by Melina, an agronomist and Bordeaux-trained winemaker with experience in France and Australia, alongside her brother Vassilis, an agronomist and wine marketing expert. Together, they harmoniously manage the vineyards and the winemaking process, ensuring that their passion for quality wine shines through in every bottle.

Wonderful visit and very welcoming host! We did a tour of the wine making facilities and learned about the history of Kikones and how they produce wine. After the tour, we had a tasting for most of their wines. The pace of the visit was very relaxed and we enjoyed discussing not just about wine, but also about Greece and Komotini region.

A job that the largest wineries in the country would envy us for, and not only that

One of the best wineries in our area. Vassilis and Melina have managed, with a lot of effort and passion, to create excellent wines and put the region on the oenological map of Greece. The tasting combined with the guided tour of the area offers the visitor a different perspective on grape growing and winemaking. Especially if you visit the winery during the harvest season, the whole experience is even more magical.

I recently had the pleasure of going on a wine tour at Domaine Kikkones and it was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend. Melina and Stella were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the history of their winemaking in the region and the different varieties of grapes grown there. The wine tastings really were exceptional, with a variety of reds, whites, and rosés to try. I particularly enjoyed trying some of the indigenous grape varieties that are unique to the region. It was a memorable and enriching experience that gave me a deeper appreciation for Greek wines and the art of winemaking. I can't wait to return and explore more of the region's wine culture.
