Et Cetera Winery: A Family Legacy

Et Cetera is a family-owned winery rooted in the belief that love and care are essential for a thriving vineyard. The Luchianov family has been nurturing their land since 2003, when Alexandru Luchianov purchased the property in 2002 and named the winery Et Cetera. Their dedication to the land has resulted in bountiful harvests and exceptional wines.

Quality Grapes for Exceptional Wines

In 2006, Alexandru's brother Igor joined the venture, and by 2009, the winery was established, blending modern winemaking techniques with traditional practices. The 24.2 hectares of vineyards are home to a variety of grapes, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Prosecco, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. Grapes are hand-harvested in small baskets and meticulously sorted, ensuring that only the finest grapes are sent to the cellars for fermentation—red varieties in stainless steel tanks and white varieties in oak barrels, resulting in their signature red, white, and sparkling wines.

Attention to Detail in Winemaking

At Et Cetera, every aspect of winemaking is carefully managed, from grape cultivation to fermentation and aging in oak barrels. This commitment to quality helps to foster a rich wine culture in Moldova. The unique terroir, characterized by well-drained soil and a climate influenced by the nearby Black Sea, Liman, and Dniester River, contributes to the distinct flavors of their wines.

Et Cetera produces unique wines that reflect the spirit of the Moldovan land, showcasing a deep connection between people and nature.

We came here for a family meal out and keen to explore a new local attraction. Et Cetera did not disappoint. From the entrance road with electronic gates to the walk around the winery, we were impressed by this neat operation. The venue is just off the national road but it's very peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by vineyards, there are also extensive grass areas and nicely landscaped pine trees varieties throughout the property, giving it a very cozy and intimate vibe. The outdoor seating is lovely though too cold to sit there when we visited. The inside restaurant is also tastefully decorated with a lot of wood throughout the inside and outside parts of the buildings. We ordered a variety of starters and mains which were all delicious. The Merlot bottle was also not bad. The atmosphere was relaxed and staff were courteous. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely return here and recommend other visitors and locals to try it.

This is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. You can relax by the pool, stroll through the lavender fields and the garden. The food in the restaurant is simply amazing, I highly recommend trying the marinated trout – after the first serving, we had two more! The Napoleon is an absolute bomb! And the breakfasts, which are included in the price of the stay, are just awesome.

Just wanted to share how amazing is this place in everything! Location, food, wine, rooms, staff! It’s a perfect combination of local food from farmers such as eggs, veggies, they make their own bread, wine and champagne. The food is delicious it’s very European/Moldavian oriented. If you expect shrimps, whiskey and some fancy things that’s not for you, HERE is more about cozy evenings next to fire outside or inside with your family or friends.
