A Rich Winemaking Heritage

JR Wines is a testament to the Haddad family's dedication to reviving winemaking in Jordan's unique Terroir. Under the leadership of Mudieb M. Haddad, the family has cultivated over 42 grape varieties in the challenging Volcanic Basalt Desert, resulting in award-winning wines that reflect the region's character.

Mutheib Haddad's vision was rooted in a desire to bring joy to others through the fulfillment of dreams. His innovative spirit paved the way for a new era in Jordanian winemaking. In the mid-1970s, Italian winemakers collaborated with the Haddad family to establish a state-of-the-art winery, marking a significant milestone in Jordan's wine history. In 1975, the Haddad Estates & Vineyards opened its doors, setting the standard for modern winemaking in the region.

The Vineyards

Over the years, the Haddad family planted a variety of Italian, Spanish, and French grape vines at an altitude of 840 meters, where ancient volcanic activity enriched the soil. In 2004, the first harvest was celebrated, and Jordan River Wines was introduced to the world, showcasing unique flavors in varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. This success has made JR Wines a popular destination for wine enthusiasts in Jordan.

Today, JR Wines continues to honor Mutheib Haddad's legacy by crafting high-quality wines and refining their techniques to ensure that every bottle reflects the essence of Jordan's remarkable terroir.
