The Carraro family, originally from Veneto, Italy, settled in Bento Gonçalves in 1875. They began cultivating grapes for family celebrations, laying the foundation for a winemaking legacy. By the 1970s, they became pioneers in producing Merlot in the Serra Gaúcha region. In 2001, Lidio Carraro established a modern winery on just seven hectares of land. Today, the family proudly manages over 200 hectares of vineyards in Brazil's top wine zones.
The vineyards in Vale dos Vinhedos began producing grapes in 2002, while additional vineyards in Serra do Sudeste, Encruzilhada do Sul, host a diverse range of varietals. These include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Nebbiolo, Tannat, and Pinot Noir, along with Cabernet Franc, Touriga Nacional, Chardonnay, Riesling Itálico, Teroldego, Moscato, Tempranillo, and Moscato Bianco. The winery's commitment to quality ensures that their red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines honor traditional winemaking practices in the region.

Proposta da vinícola é purista, com minimo de conservantes em seus products. Não há passeio pela propriedade e sim um espaço bem descolado para degustação. This is a account of many years and history of how we came. Eles se denominam puristas pois os vinhos não passam por barrica, maturam na própria garrafa. Meu ponto é que os prices são altos (até incompatíveis) e há inúmeros vinhos concorrentes no Vale dos Vinhedos superiores por mais da metade do valor deles. Vale a reflexão and also vale a visita. Fomos de ultima hora e não nos arrependemos (recomendo chamar antes para ter idea de horários para degustação). A familiar wine, part of the boutique and the house of the owners. Optamos pela degustação Essencial e estávamos em um espaço exclusivo, not tinham outras pessoas junto, or que foi bacana. As long as you taste it, you will have a variety of things to eat and then finally use the rotary guns for your home. O atendimento de todos foi cordial and nos deixaram bem a vontade.
